2025 NEWSLETTER
FINALLY... Cottage Season 2025 is HERE!!!

Welcome back to Kahshe Lake, everyone. What a winter that was — we kicked it off with a snow dump worthy of a ski hill and wrapped things up with an ice storm that turned everything into a frozen disaster zone. Hydro lines down, trees everywhere, and yes — our docks took a beating. We've repaired everything we could see, but if we missed anything, please shoot us an email at nagayadocks@gmail.com.
We’ve had some turnover again this year—more sellers, more new buyers. To those moving on: we wish you nothing but sunshine and smooth sailing. And to our new friends: welcome to our little “Piece of Paradise.”

We’d also like to take a moment to honour the customers we lost last year. May they rest in peace, and may their families find comfort and strength.

Now for the important stuff — a few reminders, updates, and helpful bits for the season ahead:
1. Invoices
Your invoice is attached here and we have a shiny new website: www.nagayadocks.ca. We’ve kept our rates fair — especially when you compare the convenience of our parking-to-dock setup with the likes of Denne’s and Rockhaven. If you ever have concerns about pricing or anything else, let us know at nagayadocks@gmail.com or through the website. If we can’t come to an agreement, no hard feelings — we’ll pass your spot along to the next eager beaver on the waitlist.

2. Complaints or Concerns
We now have a complaint/concern form online at www.nagayadocks.ca. Got something to say? Say it there. We’re listening.

3. Car & Boat Invoices
Your invoice is attached to this email
Reminder: No trailers in the parking lot (campers included). Leave one there, and it’ll be towed faster than you can say “Oops.”

4. Parking Etiquette
Last year was better (gold star for effort!) — but we still had a few vehicles in spots they didn’t belong. We're sticking to zero tolerance again this year. If your vehicle is in someone else's spot, it’s getting towed. Paying customers showing up to a taken spot at 11 PM is not the vibe we’re going for.

5. Security Boost
Lock your stuff! Unfortunately, theft still happens.
The good news: We’ve installed 3 solar-powered, cellular-connected cameras. They’re independent from the hydro grid (because we gave up on that mess). If something goes missing, contact us and we’ll try to grab HD footage of the culprit.

6. Scoop the Poop
If your pet poops, scoop it. Yes, we know not all the mess is from dock users — some local dogs have gone full rogue. But please do your part.

7. Boats & Bailing
We don’t bail boats. That’s on you.
But if we see one sinking, we’ll do our best to save it — neighbour-style. Let’s all keep an eye out.

8. Fuel with Caution
Please be careful fueling your boat at the bay docks. The Ministry of Environment does not take kindly to spills. We don’t have a marina, so we’re all kind of stuck — but let’s be smart and safe about it.

9. Guest Parking
Expecting visitors? Reserve a spot via email at nagayadocks@gmail.com
Guest parking is $20/night per vehicle. Send your e-transfer to nagayadocks@gmail.com once we have confirmed your reservation via email.

10. Thinking of Upsizing Your Boat?
If you’re considering a bigger boat, check with us first. Docking space is limited and regulated — we have to stay within our approved footprint.

11. Shuffling Slips
As water levels drop, we may need to shuffle boats around. If your boat can handle shallow water and you’re willing to switch spots, let us know. Teamwork makes the dream work.

12. New Signs!
We’ve updated the name signs on car and dock spots — finally, right? Let us know if yours is incorrect or in rough shape.

13. Selling Your Property?
If you're selling your Kahshe Lake property, give us a heads-up early. We’re happy to grandfather access for new buyers, but we can't guarantee the exact same boat/car spaces. Communication is key!

14. Non-Customer Dock Use
We’re aware some non-Nagaya folks like to wander onto our docks to sightsee or fish. We’ve heard your feedback, and we’ll be keeping a closer eye on things this year. We’d like to stay inclusive — but if that doesn’t work, we may need to consider signage or restrictions. Stay tuned.

15. A Fond Farewell
After 9 fantastic years, Brenda is retiring. Thank you, Brenda, for everything — your steady hand and dedication made all the difference. As we move forward, we’re taking things more digital. Check out our new site for updates, info, and everything dock- and parking-related:

Thanks for another year of support. We appreciate every one of you.
Stay safe, boat smart, and enjoy the beauty of Kahshe Lake, 2025-style.
Cheers,
The Nagaya Docks Team
